Family and Faith

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

As we take a glimpse back – many of us will find ourselves smiling as we remember Summer Days.  As God’s Critters we gathered together - 35 campers, 7 youth leaders, and 14 adults. It was a week filled with games, crafts, music, and so much more. Collaboration and teamwork was our focus – this was evident from our campers right down to all the donors and volunteers that made this week possible. Thank you one and all! Check out the bulletin board in the hallway or better yet, our website for some highlights of our week!

As we ramp up for fall – we are recruiting! We are in need of volunteers to help with ALL of our youth programs – Nursery, Sunday School, Youth Group, and Youth Choir. Please consider giving of yourself – the rewards are many. I would be happy to answer any questions and offer guidance or assurance to all who want to help our children grow in faith.

Rally Day is Sunday, September 15th. Help spread the word! The theme this year is The Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin. As we rally families in, they will join in the festive games and activities. We will host a family meeting to share our highlights for the year and finish off the event with a picnic lunch. There will be registration forms available for all of our Youth Programs.

Sunday School officially start on September 22nd. We will be following a new curriculum from Spark House that follows the lectionary. The children will enjoy stories from the Bible, engaging them in fun games and activities that bring the lessons to life.

Family Craft Night is October 18th from 5-7pm. Join the fun as we make Salt Water Taffy and roll Beeswax into candles. These crafts will be sold at the Christmas by the Sea Fair on November 2nd. All proceeds from the sale will benefit Church World Service Blanket Project
